Blueberries

Our blueberries are ripe from mid July until mid September, weather permitting.

All the varieties are ripe at different times, Duke is the first variety ready to pick.

Head to the checkout stand and grab a couple buckets. Line the buckets with a bag. This makes it easier to take your fruit home, and help with the cleaning process. Head out into the field and pick an open row. Pick the completely blue berries.

Please respect our farm, by not yanking the berries off aggressively and not hurting the plants.

Lastly, bring your bounty back to the checkout stand, weigh your bucket or box. The scale is price calculating, place your bucket or box on the scale, & press the appropriate button, log your fruit in the log book, and pay, rounding to the closest $0.50!

Our blueberry field is best accessed at 14872 N Atlas Rd.

Please respect the 5 MPH speed limit on the farm!

Parking is around the baby blueberry field, check the map to be sure where to park, it's marked in red.

The "dust" on the blueberries is called "bloom", it's a natural protective substance. It is great for keeping the berries fresh for as long as possible.

We recommend:

Fresh- Not washing off the bloom. Unsprayed farm fruit can take on a different texture if washed and then let to sit.

Freezing- wash and pack into freezer bag, lay flat in freezer.

Because we fertilize we aren't considered organic.

-Drive slow, there are mini pickers out and about, it helps to keep the dust down too.

-Pay with cash or Venmo.

We planted 3500 baby blueberry plants in 2020 and 2021. We have 1000 mature plants established and ready to be picked.

We prune every plant every year.
